Almost there. Just a few minutes (how about hours?) more . . .

When I turned on my TV earlier this week, I got a blank blue screen that was completely unresponsive to my pressing the DirecTV button or a channel number into my remote. The only way I could get anything to happen was to unplug and replug my DVR and have it run through powering up and getting satellite information. Earlier today, I turned on my TV to again find the blank blue screen, unresponsive to the remote, even when I changed out the batteries. So, I unplugged and replugged the DVR and got no further than the "Almost there. Just a few minutes more" screen, even hours later. Any ideas what I can do to fix this?

BTW, my RCA DVR is 7 years old, so it's possible it has hit the end of its product life. Also, it appears that the DVR hasn't recorded any programs for me over the last two weeks. Thanks for any help you can give me!

it sounds like a low signal issue.  do you have any other receivers/DVR's?  are they working OK?

Nope, this is the only DVR/receiver I have.

Call DirecTV to request a replacement Receiver/DVR.  It's free if you have their Equipment Protection Plan, or within 90-days of installation.  Otherwise ~$20 for shipping.  Or ~$50 to have a tech come replace it for you.
