Amazing rec replacement experience

So on Wednesday, my rec had failed after it fallen down

In less than 6 min, I was talking to DTV Tech Support, told em it would not even power up.

She set me up for a replacement rec, and said it would be in the mail. I am in Los Angeles.

Yesterday, Thursday, I went to check my mail and saw my new receiver waiting for me on the porch.

This is less than 24 hours, mind you, lol

I was on the phone with another tech, who had me up and running in LESS than 15 min, and even helped

me to program my TV on the new remote that came with the new rec.

In less than a day, in less than 25 min of total talk time in 2 days with DTV, I got my service up and running again.

I have to say, nothing is perfect in this world, but I DEFINATELY believe in DTV, the service is solid, BETTER than

cable or anything like that, I plan to keep DTV for a long time to come!

What really blew my mind?

I live literally 2 blocks away from the 87 Whittier Quake site, lol...so when the quakes started getting

active a few months, I was in front of my DTV while the worst of it came...the *rolling wave* effect for those

familiar with the earthquake experience...during the quake, I thought GREAT!!! I AM ABOUT TO LOSE MY HD!

Because I thought, as I had heard, that if a dish is moved just OFF the point, I can lose service and it could require

a tech to come out and reset the dish....during the whole quake, service stayed on! DID NOT even BLINK!

I LOVE MY DTV!!!! 😄
