Anyone with a NON-DVR receiver get the update yet?

I have and HR20 and an H21. Have the update on the HR20 but not the H21. Just anxious and wondering how long I have to wait to take advantage of this.

DirecTV has chosen to roll out the new software to all the different DVRs all across the country before doing the receivers.

There must be a schedule for the firmware update roll-out. Any info you can pass on about the same greywolf?

A schedule may be out there I guess but I'm not going to spend time looking for it. It would be a window anyway, not a specific date. No information is going to get it there any faster. Turn off the circle of LED by tuning a local channel and simultaneously pressing the buttons on both sides of it 4 times. When you get an update, it will reboot the receiver and the circle will be back on when you first see it in the morning.

I forced my H21 receiver to update the software last Friday and received the new software for the H21. It works great networked to 2 HR21''s. I am really enjoying the flexability the MRV feature provides.

A forced update will only get a different version if the machine was cleared for it. Otherwise, a new copy of the same version will be loaded. If it is tried late on Friday or Saturday night, a test version may be downloaded which could be unstable. It's best to just wait. The new software would have downloaded the following night anyway.

I'm sure glad you re-emphasized the negative aspect of forcing a softwared download(especially on a Friday Or Saturday night like user maceonc apparently did). That is why I have gleened from the forums NOT to recommend any user to force a software download unless specifically instructed by a DirecTV CSR to do it. Although, I must admit......I was quite tempted after reading user maceonc's post to get MRV on my H21 receiver:0)
I completely understand that DirecTV decided to roll out the MRV software update to all of the DVR models first. So, in my anxiety to get MRV on my H21 Receiver, should I start a new post with the subject "Has Anyone With a HD DVR(HR20, HR21, HR22 or HR23) NOT received the MRV Update Yet?":0)
Seems to me that it has been long enough for everybody from New York City to Honolulu Hawaii to get their DVR updated. Come on DirecTV.....get with the HD Receiver rollout!!!!!!!!!!

Scuttlebutt at dbstalk.com suggests that they started to roll out the software for the H21/23 on 1/20 and then stopped... possibly indicating a problem with the 0x4395 (H21/23) software or ????

Thanks for that tidbit!! I sure hope D* gets the bugs worked out of the H2x 0x4395 software or the deployment issues fixed soon and resume the rollout!!!!!!

I have an H23 that still has not received the MR DVR update. My HR23 has received the update.
