Anyone with a NON-DVR receiver get the update yet

I have the HR20 and a H21, the MRV is installed on the HR 20 but not on the H21. I do not understand directv rollout, what good is it to have the MRV on one and not the other. What are the directv engineers thinking, I just ASK when will the beta launch date be for the h21 firmware upgrade. A recomendation, DTV Beta launch dates for what reciever, should be in the DTV mail.Come on DTV give us some good news, been with DTV 15 years.

Anyone have info please ?????

No, as you will see from other posts the receiver version of the software has not been rolled out yet. At the moment the beta test is limited to DVRs, but I expect the receiver version will be out soon. There won't be a schedule for this, when the engineers are happy with the software it will start its phased rollout. This is a beta test, there are no guarantees.

According to dbstalk.com they cranked up the rollout again. Note that this software number is different than the original, must have made some modifications.

Yippeeeeeeee!!!!!! Thanks for the update and link dcd. I noticed that the release details mentioned "MRV Support (includes remote record)". Does that mean that when I use MRV on my H21 receiver, I will be able to manage the recordings on my HR20(schedule recodings remotely)???? A user had asked in an earlier thread about being able to manage recordings using MRV and I didn't think that this would be possible. Was that particular feature supposed to be in the "original" MRV software release for the HD receivers??? Is that functionality/feature in the current HD DVR software that included MRV???? I saw on my HR20 where it had an option in the Opt In for allowing the DVR to share the "delete" function but do not recall anything about the "record" function. Or am I misinterpreting the above quote from dbstalk???? Could this be the "modification" you wondered about???

Yes, you can manage recordings on your networked DVRs from your networked HD Receivers. But the HD DVRs don't yet let you manage recordings on other networked DVRs. Hopefully that will be added.

I have a H21-100 and it is working as of today 2/19/2010. Hadn't checked for a week, so at some point doing that time it came.

The update started rolling out to HD Receivers last night. It will probably take 2-3 weeks to reach everyone, though.

The rollout has begun, but not yet completed. It could be a couple of weeks.

Gentle bump - It's been just about a week since the roll out to non-dvr's. I guess no one has seen the code yet (I know I haven't).

Patience, I know 🙂

davidjames/dbindley,
Same here(I am located in the Nashville, TN area). Where are you at???? Maybe if everyone posting to this thread will mention the area of the U.S. they are located in, when users begin posting they have received the HD receiver software(soon, we hope) we may be able to tell more about how long it may be before we get it. That is if there is any way to detect a pattern of area rollouts. Until then....also still impatiently waiting.

Good idea. I am on the frozen New Jersey coast. The water outside my house is frozen, my pool is great for ice skating, and as of today 2/26/10, no updates for my HD receivers. ( Non DVR)

Well, if the rollout is going West Coast-2-East Coast don't hold your breath(but, at least your pool may still be frozen when you get the software:0).
If it's being rolled out vice versa that's bad news for you(your dish musta been frozen and you missed the download:0(
