Are there any plans for four tuner DVR?

Are there any plans for four tuner DVR? Two tuners is very limiting for a whole house DVR setup.

As far as I know, there has been some information published on a Whole Home system that uses a larger capacity DVR and satellite boxes (small ones) at each TV, but nothing concrete as to actual plans.

In the interim the workaround is more than one DVR.  I have three and we can record and keep absolutely anything we want.  Of course eventually there is more stuff that you can watch.  With only one DVR you're limited to streaming to a single receiver at a time, which I assume is the limitation you refer to.

Hello, related question, to add a 2nd DVR, why does DTV charge $199? I thought the monthly DVR service fee covers leasing the DVR.

The limitation I am referring to is that if I start recording from my 2nd receiver then the DVR has only one tuner left to use or is the 2nd receiver streaming to the DVR?

You've got all kinds of questions scattered over three different threads. Kindly keep all your communications to a single thread. It makes answering easier and the whole thing is more coherent.  You get the first DVR for no up front charge, subsequent boxes cost $199 up front plus a monthly lease fee, just like leasing a car.

Duplicate post.
