asked for a service technician and they gave me a 2 month wait period
I'm stuck without channels for 2 months because that's the soonest they can send a technician in Indiana. Is this the best service they can provide? I'm about to cancel service.

If you call DIRECTV (number in my greeting below) and say ‘cancel’ to the robot then you will be sent to the retention/loyalty department where a more ‘professional’ assistant will help. Complain and see if you can get a tech out there sooner. If not, your only options are fixing the issue yourself or having a third-party like (ftainstall.com) do it.
If you don’t mind mentioning, what issue do you have with your service? Any error codes? Does it affect all receivers or only certain?

Sadly, they simply don't have enough service techs.

You can log into your account to see if there are any cancellations.
