AT&T Employee Supervision

An AT&T employee went to my mother's house to install a tv service. Later on, another AT&T employee arrived saying he was there to supervise the other employee and make sure he was doing his job. Do AT&T employees really do this? If so, why wouldn't they let customers know before hand that they are going to be showing up? This can be very dangerous.

It’s called quality inspection. They are required to do it unannounced in order to get an accurate quality inspection after all if you know the boss is going to show up you would not see any shortcuts not sure why you think it would be dangerous
