AT&T Has Completely Screwed UP Direct TV

I'm trying to shop an upgrade of my Direct TV equipment- currently have a 5 yr. old setup- HD DVR receiver and 3 Genies and would like to look at the newest version of this equipment. Used to be easy to shop new equipment on the Direct TV website but AT&T has completely screwed that up. Anyone able to point me to a link where I can do this? Have been on the phone for 20 minutes with loyalty group who is totally unable to fathom this simple request- has actually suggested that I Google Genie 2!!!!!

You can't have an HD DVR and three genies, you must have a genie server and three clients. Unless you want 4K (and have a 4K TV installed) there really is no upgrade for this.

Well, I may have the terminology incorrect (yes, is a server and 3 minis), but that wasn’t really the question. I was told by the technician who re-hooked up my equipment when I recently moved that there was newer version of my equipment and I should consider upgrading. If that upgrade is really just to 4K then you are correct- I don’t need it. The question really was where can I research this issue? Old Direct TV site would tell you the exact model that you actually had and then you could compare to current models- after an hour on the phone with AT&T, no one can tell me what I actuallly have and if upgrade is available....

The only upgrade from a Genie is to the HS17 Genie2 that is a client only system capped at seven tuners as it will not allow any other DTV receivers on the account plus there are still bugs in it.

When I log into my DTV account there is a link named My Equipment that shows me which receivers I have. I guess you’ve tried that?
