Baseball game recordings cancelled Hal way through the game.
I am TRYING to watch the post season but Directv is making it difficult. I have had two games (1 on TBS and 1 on a 4K channel) cancelled half way through the game. I didn't cancel it...it just says cancelled by server. WT actual F? I guess I am going to have to schedule all future games manually as I don't trust Directv with recordings anymore? Has anyone else experienced this?
Thanks

We can help with that DVR issue, @demoleon.
First things first, can you try checking your recording history? The two recorded games should both be in there with a numeric code that will tell you why the recordings stopped. Which code(s) do you have?
Secondly, try checking how much space you have left on your DVR. If you’re running low on hard drive space, the recordings may cancel partway through.
Lastly, make sure you didn’t have other recordings set to start at the same time as that program. Your DVR has a limited number of tuners, and needs an entire tuner to record a program. If you use too many tuners to try recording programs (or if you’re using a Genie Mini in another room), your recordings may be interrupted.
Get back to us when you can, @demoleon, we’re here to help.

I have plenty of space and there wasn't a conflict issue. The history code is 13 on both programs and says something like recording stopped due programming update.

Thanks for providing that info, @demoleon. A deletion code of 13 means there was some kind of guide conflict. A programming update is when information for the scheduled program changes. It’s possible another program was scheduled for the same time slot, especially if the games were running over or recently rescheduled. It's also possible the station guide info was outdated or incorrect, or they changed the program description/info during the game. If this happens mid-recording, it can sometimes cause the recording to stop.
This can very rarely be caused by corrupt guide info. Resetting your receiver will fully reload the guide. We have also found that selecting the program in the guide directly to record it (instead of doing a program search) can sometimes help get around this issue.
Let us know if you have other questions, @demoleon.

You did it again! I had a recording of the Braves Dodgers game set to record on one of your 4K channels. I double checked this afternoon that it was in the todo list but at about 7:20 I noticed that it wasn't recording. Sure enough recording cancelled due to a programming update (13). STOP CANCELLING MY RECORDINGS. I just want to watch baseball but apparently that isn't possible with Directv.

Hi, @demoleon!
We're sorry you're missing your games. That can be incredibly frustrating.
Code 13 is a fairly rare error of a cancelled recording and most of the time they are cancelled due to lack of guide data or incorrect guide data.
Our recommendation is to reboot your DVR to refresh the guide data. Also, 4K recordings do have limited options for viewing, they can only be viewed on the 4K receiver. It may be helpful to record on both the 4K and Non-4K channels to allow some flexibility and backup.
If you continue to have issues after rebooting, please run a system test by pressing Menu > Settings > Info & Test > Run System Test > Dash. Let us know the diagnostic code in the end if there is one.
Let us know how this works!
