Birdog (older) and the SWM lnb

We are moving a SWM slimline dish on a portable roof mount to put a new roof on.  I put my older birdog meter on the line with the SWM sat info installed and do now have enough power to power up the LNB or get a signal on the birdog.  I have a Eagle Aspin S-2180-CE 3X8 Multi switch.  Can I plug the receiver end of the RG6 into the 20v, the birdog into the 18v and the lnb line into the output and get a signal on the birdog without harming the HD receiver?

Use (at the roof) a- spare TWo way green (swim) splitter-Un do the rg6 from the LNB Connect it to the red leg make a jumper Connect it to the lnb and the top red leg of the Splitter-The with another jumper connect to the bottom leg of the splitter -connect to the input of your bird  dog.

Then ditther away.

assuming your Birdog meter supports the SWM firmware, use a 2 way splitter as gl suggest.  you need to connect the 21v power supply inside the house.  connect and RG6 to the port label "power to SWM" that cable runs up to the dish.  connect that cable to the red "power passing port" on the SWM 2 way splitter.  connect your birdog to the non-power passing port on the splitter.  connect the LNB to the red in on the 2 way.  along your dish.  good luck
