C61K client not connecting wirelessly to HS17

Been using a C61K -700 (client) connected by COAX cable to a HS17-500 for about 6 months (installed by DTV Tech).  Have a second C61K provided by DTV about 6 months ago but never connected to the HS17.

Now I want to activate the second C61K and connect by WiFi to the HS17. The HS17 Wireless light is green and the Network light is flashing yellow on the C61K. The HS17 "Add Client" button activates when pressed but the HS17 and C61K are not connecting.  ATT Tech Support did not provide any solution during an extended conversation; other than to send a replacement C61K which has not yet arrived.

This cannot be a unique problem. Has anyone found a solution?

Thanks, James

There is no wireless C61K, only wired

Many thanks, Texas Brit, "no wireless in the C61K" explains everything!

I wonder why ATT Tech Support did not catch that during our extended chat. The C61K had been provided by DTV six months ago as a wireless solution so I could watch DTV on another TV upstairs.

After your alert, I now see that a C61W has a wireless interconnection to the HS17, so I will pursue that with DTV/ATT.
Many thanks again.

The C61W doesn't output 4K.  The only mini that outputs 4K is the wired C61K.

If C61K does not support wireless and C61W does not support 4K on my TV (I have 2 x 4k sets), what do I need to receive a wireless signal from the HS17 and view TV on my 4k sets?
Thanks

There is no way to watch 4K programs in 4K without a coax from the SWM splitter to the C61K mini.

Thanks, Shannon02.
I guess that since I cannot change the viewing location and cannot run a coax to it, I will have to use a C61W wireless mini and give up on the 4k quality.
It seems strange that we could put a man on the moon all those years ago and yet ATT/DTV cannot provide wireless 4K in a consumer product in 2019. What am I missing here?
Thanks again for the education and "solution" to both you and Texas Brit.

AFAIK 4K takes up to much bandwidth to be transmitted over WiFi at this time.
