Cable installation in new house.

I am having a house built and the builder has a wiring company that will install 5 RG6 cables between the network box in the basement and the attic before drywall is installed. They charge $500 for this. Is this worth it? I am looking to have 3 dvr's (2 connections each). One in the bedroom upstairs, one in the family room on the main level, and one in the basement. How would these dvr's be connected? Also, is there any benefit to having this company install a single coax connection in any of these locations if I know that DirecTV will come and install an additional line for my DVR?
