caller id

I have an H34 receiver. Caller ID on receiver sends phantom calls that read UNAVAILABLE every 30 minutes ( house phones do not ring since there is no actual call). Caller ID from receiver does work when I get an actual phone call

What sort of phone service do you have?

Have you tried resetting the HR34?

My HR34 does not have this problem.

I have the same issue with my HR34. I have FIOS and they changed my service plan yesterday. I am not sure if it the FIOS digital voice or DirecTV.

It could be either. Bottom line is that Caller ID is rather flaky on DirecTV equipment.

I have the exact same issue.  It comes up regularly every half hour.  I've reset both the HR34 and my FiOS ONT and based on the reset times, it's definitely something triggered by the FiOS ONT.  My old HR20 never did this, so it must be something about the HR34 that monitors the line differently.

Maybe.  But I also have FIOS phone service and don't have this issue with my HR34.

Unless it also happens with no phone line attached, I can't see how it can be anything other than some signal coming from the phone line.  I wouldn't blame this particular problem on the HR34.

It didn't happen with my HR20, so yes, it is an issue with the HR34.  My suspicion is that it is misinterpreting the vm notification signal.
