Can I connect several TV's with splitters from an HD Receiver?

I currently have a standard receiver delivering signal to multiple tv's, via a satellite qualified splitters.

If I upgrade to an HD Receiver, will I be able to use say 1 HD ready TV and the 2 other TV's standard signal?

Or do all TV's receiving the signal from an HD have to be HD compatable?

You could get an RF Modulator to convert the HD Receiver's composite video output to a TV signal on Ch3 or Ch4 that you can distribute like your current standard Receiver.
