Can I have both hard wired and wireless connected receivers on my system?

I currently have 3 networked DVR’s on my system - all hard wired either directly or via a DECA connection: HR22-100, HR24-200 and HR44-200 (Genie Gen 2).  The coax to the HR22-100 has died and will be impossible to fix.  I am wondering if I can install a wireless video bridge to allow me to continue to use the HR22-100.  If that is an option, can I leave my other two received hard wired or would they have to connect wirelessly as well?  Is it an all or nothing proposition?  Obviously, if the wireless video bridge isn’t an option, I will have to get new receivers.

Yes, you can have a mixture of wired and wireless. However, the only wireless boxes are genie clients which do not have any tuners themselves and pull a tuner from the hr44 that you have.

A move to wireless boxes would be considered an upgrade and would extend/initiate a new 1 year contract.

The current setup you have is ideal (genie DVR and 2 hddvr receivers). I would call in (1.800.531.5000) and initiate a service call so a tech can come out, swap the defective receiver, and check any problems with the coax if any exist.

A service call runs $99 without the protection plan (which itself is $8.99/month) and does not extend/initiate a new contract of any kind.

An upgrade can vary in price and will extend/initiate a 12 month contract.

A third option, if you know the problem is with the hr22 itself and are having no other issues, is for DirecTV to mail a replacement receiver. The cost of a receiver swap is $19.99 unless you have the protection plan, in which case I believe shipping is free.

New receivers start a 2 year contract'

There is no way that the HR22 can use a WVB only mini clients C41/61W can use a WVB.

Thanks, I will go the route of “upgrading” to the wireless bridge and adding a Genie client.  Unfortunately, the existing coax appears to have run its course.  It’s not worth a tech’s time.  Appreciate the assistance, thank you.
