Can I Use My DTV Receiver In A Hotel ?

I was told I could.

The hotel I am in has DTV but their package is very poor so I want to use my receiver so I can see whatever I wish.

I hooked it up and changed the zip code coordinates, but still nothing.

The screen says 'receiveing satellite information' but it's been an hour or so and it's still showing 0% complete

Can anyone help ?
