You guys seriously need the sleep mode on your remote. It's bull crap that we'd have to use an old remote that possibly doesn't work anymore, and don't feel like buying a universal remote just for that option. Since we have to PROGRAM, the remote to the DVR, it NEEDS THE SLEEP OPTION!!!!!
There is no sleep option for DTV receivers except for the stated power saver mode. DTV remotes are available online pretty cheap and all DTV remotes are preprogrammed to control all DTV receivers in IR but you do have to program in the TV/audio.

Nope, but there is a power saver mode that will return the receiver to standby mode
after 4 hours of non remote use.
