Cannot view my recording on the other box

Can you provide more details?  Model numbers?  DECA units? 

Does the HD-DVR's playlist show on the HD rcvr when you hit the LIST button?  Or does the To Do List display?

Have you added any connections since the original install?

First thing to try is resetting the DVR/Receivers using the red button behind the front panel access card door. 

The  DVR is a hr-24 the other box is a h-21. There is a DECA unit on the regular HD box.  And  a SWM box adapter on DVR.

The playlist does show up and i works correctly on the HD DVR, but when i press the list on the other box  it only shows to do list action.

I have only did one thing since i got it installed.  I hardlined my HD DVR to my network,  and that works good.  but lost the whole home this week.

You cannot connect a Ethernet cable to any receiver in a Whole Home setup or you'll disable the box. Disconnect the cable and do a red button (inside card door) reset. That should restore your Whole Home system. If not, reset the other receivers and DVR's as well.  Then call Directv and tell them you want your Whole Home system connected to your router. This should have been offered at the time of the original installation. The attached schematic shows the proper configuration.
