Can't delete and recordings
I am trying to delete recordings and all I get is please wait... than it seems to get stuck. I have to turn off the box to get it to stop and to be able to watch TV. The dvr won't erase any recordings whether individually or grouped...

Hi, @vikkiw1369, we're sorry for the trouble deleting your recordings. Have you attempted a reset? If you haven't, you can do this by pressing the red button on the receiver. Also, if you have DIRECTV via Internet/STREAM service, there's an ongoing outage for recordings. Our team is already aware of the issue and is working on a fix. Help please I can’t delete my recordings either! I can’t find my recordings I programmed to record over the weekend! I am so frustrated! Is this a new update? I have reset it multiple times nothing is working. We pay a bunch for these services and sadly, now we may have to switch to another provider and loose all our previous recorded shows! What can I do?

Same here. Did a reset now have new menus for “List” button and nowhere can you delete recordings. My DVR is full and can’t record what I want it to. Did DirectTV help say 14 days ago they were aware and working on a fix? Absolutely ridiculous and terrible service. This subscription is not cheap. I expect better.

Strange, as DTV receivers will delete older programs to make room for newer programs even the Keep until I delete ones. Try another red button reset of the Genie then the minis.

We haven't been able to delete our recording for the past week. It just says....please wait.........what is up? Like others have said we pay too much for this to have it not work correctly. We had this service for years with no issues like this and now all of a sudden, we can't delete watched recordings, this makes no sense. What's going on? It sounds like this has been an issue for some for over a month now.

Haven't tried that nor do we know what model it is lol it's all behind the TV and not easy to get to. It's whatever ATT gave us probably been at least 2 years ago after having the same box for 10 years and they finally updated us. We are not tech savvy when it comes to the TV stuff lol How do you reset the DVR? LOL Thanks.

There's a red button near the access card. You can also pull its power cord for several seconds and then repower. Is this your only DirecTV box? If you have other boxes then it's possible that the box behind your TV is actually a Mini Client and not the actual DVR.

HI, We just did the reset button, we found it on the side of the box where we've never looked before LOL It's doing its thing and then we will see if we can delete the recordings we have already watched. Thanks
