Is it a H24 or HR24? Because bthe H24 doesn't come with RF remote, even though the receiver is RF remote capable. Does the remote have a FCC sticker on back?
This process is not real easy but if you do it everyday then its not hard. it must be a user error. Take your time when you do it. Go step by step if you dont then it will not work.
According to the DVR Receivers User Guide, if the model number of the remote has an "R" after the numbers (i.e. RC65RX), it supports Radio Frequency. If it does not have an R, RB, RX, etc., it is not an RF capable remote and therefore, you cannot program it to RF.
