CBS on Demand programs stuck in a loop of nonstop commercials
Has anyone else experienced a nonstop series of CBS promos at the first commercial break when trying to watch a show downloaded from CBS on Demand? I can’t figure out how to make this phenomenon stop. If anyone has had this happen to them and has a solution I would love to hear it. Once the loop starts running the ads for the CBS programs it will not stop or go back to the show itself.

Yes, I have experienced that. I was unable to watch last season’s final NCIS episode because of that. That episode was available again just before the start of this season and I downloaded it. This time the commercials were part of the download so it did not go into that loop and I was able to watch. My suggestion is download first, then watch.

Thank you for at least making me feel like I wasn't the only one experiencing this phenomenon. I did download the new sitcom Unicorn, episode 1 and 2 and the nonstop CBS promotional loop kept happening over and over and over... we actually were not trying to watch it as a livestream. Based on what you said, I wonder if they eventually update the older episodes withe embedded commercials but since it is so new, it has some feature that directs the receiver to stream promos and there is a glitch obviously. Last night, we ended up watching the second half of the episode on my ipad through the CBS App instead. I appreciate your comments.

Last night I watched the CBS series “Evil” episode “3 Stars” on DirecTv On Demand Channel 1002. I noticed A LOT of commercials, so I got out my stopwatch, and timed the following segments:
Maybe 17 minutes of show + MANY commercials, before I started timing;
11 minutes of show;
10 minutes of commercials, many repeating two or more times, about 30 clips in total;
6 minutes of show;
10 minutes of commercials, many repeating two or more times, about 30 clips in total;
5+ minutes of show (to the end).
Fast forward NOT allowed. If that isn’t TV torture, what is?
Hearing some say that it is CBS,not DirecTV that's responsible for this, is not a comfort. Sometimes the messenger gets shot!

@DTVuserMnyYears ,
But it is CBS's problem. It's their OnDemand channel. DirecTV just delivers it.

It takes over 1 hour to watch a 22 min program. Program commercials especially for cancelled programs are a hugh waste of time and are out of control!!! Hate CBS On Demand service! It (Edited per community guidelines)!😡😡😡
