Chage Standard Tuner to HD Tuner?

currently have a HD DVR, 4 HD Tuners and 1 Standard Tuner. ALso have WHole house HD DVR service. I am wanting to replace my Standard receiver with a HD receiver so I can enjoy Whole house HD DVR on that set also.

The set with the Standard tuner is an older tube type non HD set. Will it still work with a HD tuner?

If it would I would like to replace my standard tuner with a HD tuner so I can watch whole house DVR on this set like I can with the rest of the setx in my house.

How do I do this and what will it cost me? Also will this extend my agreement? Will the HD tuner work with my Standard def tv as I have been told?

I'm ne to Directv and not too familiar with it yet.

Call Directv and tell then you want to upgrade the SD receiver to a HD receiver.  You'll need professional installation, they'll advise you as to cost.  The HD receiver will work with the SD TV but id the TV is very old, you may need to purchase a RF modulator.  The length of your contract is already near two years, and that's maximum.
