Cheap Remote
My cheap remote doesn’t light up like my Dish remote did. Why? I was not asked if I wanted to see in the dark. I have the Satellite Choice package with 2 advanced DVR’s.

I knew I needed to save the page. Well, it was a different page. Anyway, notice you cannot even find a part number for backlit (I have not found a page with a number different from rc81v, rc82v, rc83v

AFAIK there is only the RC81 that is IR,RF, Bluetooth and the RC82v that has the same plus voice. Going to Solid Signal and doeing a search for RC82v brings up a page that says the RC82v has "Backlit Buttons: Struggle no more in dim or dark settings, as the intuitive backlit feature brightens your remote control buttons."

Yeah, some inconsistent results, and I have not been able to convert the part number inside the remote to rc81, 82 , 83...
