Code for Sony BDP-S580 Blu-ray Disc Player

Only the rc65 series of directv remotes has a code, in it its 21516.

1. tv

2. press and hold MUTE & SELECT, wait for two blinks, release

3. enter 2 1 5 1 6

Look at your remote control model number.  It's printed on the top front corner of the remote.  Is it an RC65 model?

64. so if I get a 65 it will work with the hr24?

Turns out I was using the old remote; the one that came with the 24 is a 65 and it works. Couldn't find the s580, but the code for s570 worked. Thanks a lot.
