Compression Connectors....What am I doing wrong?

I ordered some digicon compession connectors and a nice compression tool. I strip the coax as directed in the tools guide, then I slip the compression tool over the compression connector, and compress it alll the way down. The compression connector then slips right off the cable. I am using regular rg-6 cable, what am I doing wrong?
