Considering coming back to DirecTv but unsure of install needs
Hello,
I am renting a high-end home with a couple of buddies and am considering coming back to DirecTv.
However, I am unsure as to how complicated the install process will be. Our landlord seems flexible with the idea of us switching to satellite TV. I do not think they know much about this idea though.
Here are some facts about the house:
Relatively new construction.
7 rooms are wired for cable TV, including a small tv in both the kitchen and master bathroom.
No problem with line of sight.
My question is how can the DirecTV install utilize the existing wiring for cable (if at all)? How do you know ahead of time? Is there a definite need for additional drilling and line dropping, etc.? I doubt the home owners would be overly thrilled about this. Or is this something that cannot be determined until after I sign up and have an installer come out? I guess I am just looking for a general answer here.
And if we go to 7 rooms, is that even possible for the number of receivers? I have found that the sign up page on the website only allows for 6.
It appears that cable seems like the better solution, but I would really like to go back to DirecTV for the NFL package.
The house has been creatively wired for cable TV, so it seems like satellite TV should be able to fit into this, but I have no clue.
Thanks for any advice.
