Control Unit not operating the Direct TV Genie Mini

The control unit will not change channels, show the guide, list, menu, or info. It does not stop, fast forward, or reverse. The only thing the control unit affect is the volume and mute on the TV. It's like the control unit is not communicating with the Direct TV Genie Mini.

The Direct TV Genie Mini has been powered off and on multiple times, the "Refresh Receiver" function from the website has been run several times.

The batteries in the control unit has been replace with 2 new sets of batteries.

The picture on the TV is as expected on the one channel the Direct TV is stuck on.

Any ideas how to fix the issue? Do to the coronavirus scare no one was available to answer the phone for technical support.

Press and hold mute and enter (under the number 9) until you get a message that your remote is now set up for rf

It didnt help mine! still wont do anything! when I power on the tv it comes on and nothing a black screen

Is it a complete black screen or do you have a program banner at the top?

@nabukl Got the message remote is set up for rf OK - cannot get this off my screen!

Also, when I try to retrieve recorded programs I get an error message i in a blue circle and not available. Same message for pause, forward or reverse on the one program it is stuck on.
