Delays in remote control operation

When trying to fast forward a recorded program, changing channels or going to previous program there is a lengthy delay after pushing the relevant button on the remote. It happens at all TV locations in my house so don’t believe it is the remote.

What DVR/Receiver model numbers do you have?

When did the problem start?

The C31 is a Mini Genie. It's a "slave" to your main Genie DVR. What model number is that DVR? If it's an HR34, it's the original Genie DVR and should probably be replaced. But first, have you tried resetting your Genie DVR?

This could be caused by an IR remote delay. RF is the mode that will stop this type of delay usually. To add on, what are all of the remote models that go with the receiver models?

Hello, @duethman  Let's figure it out.

The delay you're experiencing may indicate a synchronization issue between your receiver and the remote, that's why refreshing the connectivity should do the trick.

To start, reset your receiver by following our quick guide
and pair your remote once more by following these steps:

- Point the remote at your Genie Mini.
- Press and hold MUTE and ENTER at the same time on your remote.
- The screen displays Applying IR/RF Setup. The remote is synced.

Keep us posted on how it goes, we're here to help.
