DIRECT TV NOT ANSWERING, ON HOLD FOREVER

Direct TV HAS HUNG UP ON ME 3 TIMES, ERROR 920, RAN TEST BUT SEEMS TO WORK FINE, RAN TEST SAYS CODE 41-266.  I JUST WANT TO ASK IF I NEED TO MAKE APPOINTMENT FOR TECH TO CHECK DISH?  ON PHONE OVER 40 MINUTES ON HOLD!  GRR...

You're not alone. There's a satellite issue affecting the Guide Data stream. They're blaming a Fiber cable outage. Don't bother calling because they're slammed. Be patient and check back here every so often.

 

Do NOT RESET your box or it will hang at 98% during the reboot.

Same here. Error code 41-593, but not one iota of info about this code is found anywhere on the web site. On hold for 35 minutes waiting for tech support before giving up. I DID restart the DVR, and it DID stall at 98% for more than half an hour. But the restart finally finished. I did another test, and all tests passed. 


NEED HELP?
