Direct tv on demand receiver says receiver is not ready for downloads up to 3 hours

I have direct tv and a genie receiver and when i try to watch on demand shows it says receiver is not ready for downloads for 3 hours. i reset receiver and internet is connect. please help.

Hey, @Kristieleigh. We'd be glad to help get your On Demand feature working again.

 

Did you have any trouble with this before or was it working until now? Since resetting alone had no effect we'd recommend Refreshing your Service to resend channel information and authorizations, and then Restarting your Genie receiver again 5 minutes later. These 2 steps in tandem should help.
