Direct TV receiver goes offline to reboot frequently (10 - 15 minutes of outage)
My receiver shuts down without warning during evening news and it takes 10 to 15 minutes to reboot. It does this once or twice a week. The receiver is about 7 years old. Is there a fix for this short of switching to cable tv?

Sure, call DTV to replace the receiver provided you have check that there is no problems with the outlet or other power problems.
