DIRECTV Gemini | Our Best TV Experience At No Extra Cost ????
We recently co-located a Gemini to our Directv DVR. Before doing so, we read Directv advertising which stated there is "no extra cost" associated with get a free Gemini added to a Directv setup. We were also told, by at least three Directv personnel. that our monthly bill would not change! However, we had to agree to maintain our contract for one year. Prior to the Gemini, our bill included three tv access fees with one negated by a $7 deduction. Now our bill shows four tv access fees with one discounted by the $7 deduction. After a series of four calls to customer service and the Gemini section, the resolution was for them to provide us with a $20/month rebate as compensation. What about the people who don't waste their time calling Directv? Aren't they being flimflamed by this shameless company?
We will remember this one year from now when it is time to renew.

There has always been a $7.00 per additional TV fee for each receiver on a TV. New receivers on the account usually requires a 2 yr contract not 1. You don't renew the contract once it expires you are month to month.

Your response is CONTRARY to all advertising and information regarding the "free" Gemini. There was supposed to be "NO EXTRA COST" associated with it. That means there would be no additional fee!

The advertising is misleading, I agree. However, we are customers like you on a public forum so we are not in charge of any advertising for the new Gemini.
