DirecTV Installation Disaster
I need assistance getting my DirecTV installation completed correctly. My residence required installation of a pole in the yard, which the technician could not do on that day. He indicated he would need to have utility lines located, and come back to complete the install. He left the dish sitting on the ground in my yard, with water buckets holding it down. (he indicated they typically used these on flat roof installs) This was in mid April. We agreed to a follow up appointment on May 9th (a month later) to allow time for the local utilities to locate their lines (which they did).
No one showed up on May 9th. I called AT&T - and they indicate the installation is complete and there's nothing they can really do. I've been bounced to the buried wire crew (which said they don't service Washington state), then to DirecTV support who took my information three days ago, agreed to open a case, and told me I'd receive a call within an HOUR (which DID NOT happen). No surprise.
So here I sit with a dish in my yard - a cable that is a huge safety hazard running across my yard and not buried - and no one at AT&T that can seem to get someone out to my residence to complete the installation I paid for. I need assistance. Who can help me get to the right department at AT&T to get a DirecTV installer back to my residence in Washington state and finish the work I paid for. (yes, I paid for my installation)
