DirecTv installation on wooden band
Hi,
I stay in a community governed by HoA rules and am having trouble getting DirecTv to install a dish at my property. According to HoA rules, the dish has to be mounted on a wooden band that goes around the property. The dish can not be mounted on a Stucco. According to Directv installers, the size of the wood band is not large enough to hold the base for a 30lb international dish.
I then take them around the community that show them mutiple properties that have had the big dish attached using monopoles and other support brackets. When they see this, they say that they do not get monopoles and other support brackets these days and there is nothing they can do about it. One of them said that if they do not install it correctly then they will fail QC and get suspended for 3 days. A second installer said that if they fail QC then they will get fired.
Can someone shed light on this issue. Is there anyway I can escalate this issue to get a final answer of how so many people in my neighborhood can get DirecTv to install for them, but I can not.
