Directv is unable to find my wifi network.

In trying to reconnect wifi to Directv, I get the message that it can't find any any wifi network at all. My computer shows my network and at least three others. WiFi on my computer works fine, also good on my iPhone and my wife's computer. We have had some storms lately, but the wifi and ever everything else works good.

Hello @Arvtex, we are more than happy to help with this connection problem!

 

The network information on your receiver may have been lost or corrupted. First, reset your modem by unplugging it and plugging it back in. Once your internet is back online, go to your DirecTV receiver and open the menu. Navigate to Settings > Internet setup > Advanced setup > Reset Network, then push the Dash button (located below the #7 button in the bottom lefthand corner of your remote). This will completely clear the internet settings stored on your device. After that, try reconnecting the receiver to the internet.

 

If those steps don’t work, reset your receiver (using the little red button, or by unplugging the power cord for fifteen seconds and plugging it back in). After that, try resetting the Network again, and then try reconnecting.

My bottom stairs tv works fine. Upstairs will get my direct tv channels but will not connect to the internet for prime or Netflix. I called in and they were not able to help me.

DTV has nothing to do with connecting your TV to the internet to use the TV apps, you need to check the TV manual on how to do it.

Yes, but that has to do with the internet not DTV.
