DIRECTV Protection Plan
DIRECTV Protection Plan ($8.99/month)
Am looking at activating the DTV Protection Plan ($8.99/month), and have the following questions:
- Do I simply activate the Plan online?
- Is there a requirement to sign up for a minimum period of time? For example, can I sign up for 4 or 5 months and cancel or I do have to sign up for a year?
- I have a faulty Genie Gen 2 HR44-500. How do I schedule a technician to come to my home to either fix or replace the device? Can I schedule the technician appointment online?
- I have been a DTV customer in good standing for over 5 years. Can I request an equipment upgrade, or do I have to wait 2 years?
