Directv receiver video on demand quit...

...as well as the programming that offers the 'start from beginning' reverse arrow.

All was good since installation then it quit and when I try to use the start from beginning reverse half arrow it says:  

Receiver Not Ready                                                                                                         "This receiver is not ready for downloads. This may take up to 3 hours."

Directv evidently trains their phone operators to lie and deceive their paying customers, that's my service and I've been with them since Primestar over 20 years ago.  Any advice is appreciated!

I have high speed fiber optic internet, is there any reason it should be hard wired?

Wired is always the best way to connect to the internet.

What are your receivers model numbers?

Directv is supposed to be sending me a new receiver.  Hopefully, my issue will be resolved.  Thank you!
