Does The Wireless Genie 2 Have A Digital Out Connection

I'm supposed to be getting an upgrade to a Genie 2.

Am wondering if it has a wired digital out (coaxial or

optical) so I can connect to my AV Receiver.

Hi @swiss47 Here to help you with your AV Receiver questions.

Thank you @goldw1800 for the prompt responses.

Let me share with you that you will be able to set wired digital audio from the Genie mini. It has what is labeled as a Digital Audio output, a USB, and the A/V output port. In order to get to the output settings on the Genie mini please check the steps:

1. Press Menu
2. Go to Settings and Help
3. Select Settings
4. Display

If you need further assistance don't hesitate to contact us back, we will be glad to help.

I'm not sure what you mean by C61. My question was related to the Genie 2 wireless.

What is a C61? Is  that used with a Genie 2?

the GENIE 2 --DOES NOT CONNECT to any TV as it has NO HDMI OUPUT (it will connect to your home network wired or wireless) --you need a CLIENT to connect to your TV --which will have a Hdmi connection

You will need a Client (MINI) to connect to your AV receiver and TV location --the GENIE 2 is the server unit and it only connect RG6 to the clients

What do you mean by Client? I have an HR 44-500 that has failed.

a GENIE 2 is HS-17 --if they are replacing a HR44 with a GENIE 2 then you will need a mini Client  to replace your HR44 (location) the HS-17 can be placed anywhere in your home as it does NOT connect to any TV and You pay NO monthly fee for the server only $7 a month for the Mini --as you are paying for the Hr44
