Doing the "labor" myself for PPV/VOD

My Directv system will be installed next week. I'm getting HD Whole home DVR. I ordered the one time internet hookup $25. My question is the cabeling to my router. It is upstairs in a two story and I assume the primary DVR receiver will be downstairs in living room. What is the cabeling from one receiver to the other and to the router. I would like to run my own to save time and $$. I am VERY proficient in running cable through walls, making RG6 cables, and CAT5. Do i need a cat 5 all the way from router to dvr or coax? Do I need 2 coax to the second receiver? Basically I just need a discription(ie. Dish coax to DVR receiver, Coax from DVR out to second receiver, CAT5 from DVR to Router or Coax from DVR to Router. etc.)

Just made up the receiver info, don't have one yet

Thanks you.
