DVR no pip or ability to use second tuner

I was seriously considering switching to DirecTV but was quite disappointed with what I found out today.

I was told that there is no PIP capability on the DVR and the second tuner is only for recording as there is no way to switch between the two tuners.  Why is it even there if you can't even use it?

I use the second tuner capability on my dish dvr quite often, especially when watching live sports.
