dvr records blanks

shows play on other channels n even after setting to record series it goes back n records blanks from premium channels we dont subscribe to. 

during manual setup, attempt to record from unsubscribed channel gives a correct msg, that recording may not work ! 2 years ago DTV Support promised to submit for correcting this issue but it is still unresolved !! TY, VA

Have you used the guide to find the program and press the record button twice to setup the series or just once to record that program only?

I have double pressed record after finding the correct channel to record series but it goes back finding premium channels to record blanks. In my  IT world they say " its not an issue, but a feature" LOL, annoying :( 

Try a red button reset of all receivers.
