Equipment update

How do I check to see if any update(s) have occurred to my DirecTv equipment?

Software updates are found under the settings menu.

The latest models are the HS17 Genie2 and C61 or C71KW mini clients.

Thanks for the replies...

My current equipment:

HR54-500 main box (Mar 2019), three Genie minis C41W-199 (dates Aug 2013 - Jun 2018), Satellite/router box BGW210-700 (Apr 2017), and V Bridge WVB2RO-34 (Apr 2017).

I noticed one forum post that indicated he/she decided to stay with similar set up rather than going with newer equipment.   I'm not having any particular issues - other than partial closed captioning constantly. I'm somewhat non-tech so if I choose to switch to newer will DTv do the set-up under my basic protection plan?

Funny, my Genie 2 identifies 15 tuners... is that (Edited per community guidelines)?

The HS17 Genie2 only has 7 tuners that can be used.
