Error 775 Directv

I am getting the message"Error 775" trying to hook my dish receiver together and I can't get past it. Can someone please help me?

Hello @Tlw77701, let’s get this error code cleared up together.

While we work on this keep in mind you are not without entertainment!

  • You can access anything recorded by pressing “List” on your remote
  • Sign in to DirecTV.com on a computer or tablet and choose “Watch Online”
  • Download the DirecTV App to watch on your mobile phone

The error code 775 indicates that the DirecTV equipment may be having trouble communicating with your dish.

 

To resolve this lets follow these steps.

  1. Make sure equipment has not been moved and is located where it was originally installed
    1. We do offer relocations if you wish to move any equipment
  2. Ensure all cables are hand tight
  3. Some systems may have a device known as a SWiM Power Inserter

    1. We will want to reset this device my unplugging it for 30 seconds
