Gemini Receiver

Issues with my new receiver or being able to activate double play. Are there any resolutions?

What DVR model number?  Not all boxes support "double play".

The Gemini receiver does support DoublePlay AFAIK, since it is just like any other Genie client. What happens when you press the down arrow twice?

When I press the first time, it shows “hit the down arrow again”. When I hit it the second time, nothing happens.

The Gemini is client with no tuners so it is the Genie that is providing double play.  Have you done a red button reset of both starting with the Genie?

Yes, I’ve done a reset on both. I’ve also taken the Gemini back to factory, then rebuilt it….same issue.

Did you mean factory setting of the Gemini?  We generally don't recommend doing a reset everything on a Genie as that removes all recordings and settings and not knowing if it will be fixed so replacement is the better fix.

FYI, a Directv rep responded saying that the Gemini doesn’t have the Double Play function. 
Detuch254, you mentioned that you thought the Gemini had that feature. Is that correct?  Thanks

It is the Genie that provides double play not the mini client or Gemini.

Thanks Shannon….correct, I have a couple of Genie mini’s that are connected to my Genie, and they both perform Double Play. My Gemini is connected the same way, however, having issues with that functionality.

Sounds like they didn't add it to the software, but being so new few have one to play with so don't know for sure.
