Gemini remote
Can I use 2 Gemini remotes for one Gemini receiver in the same room? One for me and one for my wife.

Yes, definitely. Recordings are encrypted to the access card and receiver ID that originally recorded them. Thus, recordings cannot be transferred from old receiver to new receiver. In fact, they can’t be transferred over at all as stated.

If you have the Genie 2 with the Genie minis and switch to Gemini, you will have your recordings still there... I will let you know after this weekend as I'm upgrading to the Gemini

So long as the main Genie is not replaced the recordings will remain as the minis don't have a hard drive to record on or have tuners.

I have successfully paired 2 remotes to my Gemini receiver. I have been having trouble trying to pair a 3rd. I've changed batteries, "unpaired" it, and tried numerous times but it just will not pair. Tech support was useless; tried to tell me it was my tv, even though I have already successfully paired two other remotes. They sent me a new remote, but it has the same issue--it flashes blue, but never pairs. Says "unable to pair this remote" while the remote continues to flash blue.

Good to know, I use 2 paired and several in IR mode on my Gemini.
I see you can rename the remote after pairing, did you try that? It's a long shot, but default names are R1 and R2... rename them and see if the 3rd pairs. Like I said, long shot.

Thanks! I finally got the 3rd remote to pair, but it couldn't "update." I may rename them all so I know which ones are working (or not)

I’m just finding out that the Gemini Air remote for DirecTV Stream is not compatible with any other universal remote.

How asinine…

Note: with the last firmware update, you can no longer name your remotes, and be sure to reset the Gemini after pairing a remote, otherwise it often does not complete the process even though it says so...

DTV sat and DTV via internet AKA DTV streaming are separate services so why would their remotes work with the other?

Does anyone else have trouble linking the Gemini remote power button to Vizio TVs. I have an older Vizio model for which the Gemini controls the volume and power off, but not power on.
