Gemini (satellite)

Hi I live in the bay area more Specifically a rural part by Pacifica My local internet (and Only) isp only has speeds up to 5mbps download if I get Directv Satellite Can I use the Gemini Or do I need A different box Also how does the Gemini work like foes it connect to the satellite or is it like stream in that case I would have to stick with my current Satellite Tv Service Dish Latino that for their VIP200 boxes do not use internet at all

Yes, you can use a Gemini that has the DTV satellite firmware installed.  It is connected to the HS17 Genie2 by coax with an adapter or by using the WVB built into the HS17 Genie2 that will also provide internet if the HS17 Genie 2 is connected to the internet but with that slow download speed all you can do is record On Demand to view later, you can't stream.  You can keep Dish if you want to pay for both.   You may have to look into satellite ISP like StarLink or Hughes.net
