Good luck - launch day is here!

So i called in and had to abort the process.  looks like some of the reps don't know what's going on - had one lady tell me that it doesn't launch until late spring (when activate now "Whole Home" is in a big orange button on directv.com) and she was trying to learn on the fly and didn't understand at all what was needed.

I aborted because I just had a feeling I wasn't going to end up with what i actually needed since she had no clue.

Not intended to slam the reps - more to point out that there remains some inconsistency in their sales training - or this particular rep just didn't pay attention or receive the memo yet. Good luck.

I called in yesterday and had the same response, not available till late spring. So I called back just now and was able to place my order. The tech is coming out this saturday at 8am to upgrade all of my 5 standard boxes to high def boxes, and swaping out my high def dish to a new swim dish and swim network thru out the house for $99.00. I also had them add another high def box for free to the order for the last room in my house, and that cost me $49.00 for installation. So I will have my High def DVR, and 6 high def recievers total on the system. He also said it would be $3.00 more a month for the service, but he went ahead and gave me a programming credit of $10.00 for the next 12 months! Thank heaven! I am tired of fighting over the one tv in the house with the DVR. So call back and talk to someone else who knows what they are doing. Good Luck!
