Got blocked for the last 2 minutes of the Arkansas vs. A&M game.

What's up with that? It's my regional game on ESPN. But since it's 2:30, it's saying I'm blacked out from Ga Tech and NC State.

But I'm in central Texas. There's no reason I would be blacked out.

I'm tired of this kind of junk every week.

PS, Looks like I just missed a thrilling end of the game, after investing 3 hours...for nothing.

Happened here in South Central Arkansas too!!!   Missed seeing Arkansas score to win the game.  How did this black out happen - Directv????

Same thing -- Starkville MS -- I called customer service and raged for awhile.  They said 'blah blah ...not under our control...blah blah' which is total BS.  Of course it is under their control.  Their automatic blackout system needs to blackout when the previous program is over with, not at a particular time!

They may as well put a disclaimer on any ESPN college football game that starts at 11:00am  may not be seen in its entirety because of a blackout of the next program.

I'm also in central Arkansas.  It makes no sense for ch. 206  to be blacked out.

Luckily, I was able to watch the end of the game on espn3.com while I was on hold with DirecTV.  When I finally was able to talk to someone DirecTV just said it was nothing they could do. They said sorry, but they don't control it.  Ridiculous.

Same thing happened in Dallas/Fort Worth. THIS NEVER HAPPENED WHEN I WAS WITH DISHTV!

Same thing in Dallas. I've been with directv a little over a year, and I keep wanting them to give me a reason to stay with them. Why would I pay MORE for a cable company that doesn't treat me like I live 20 miles from the stadium which the game is played. I know the Sunday ticket is awesome, but they double charged me and it took 3 calls to get the charges reversed. Great customer service.

Not only did it cause me to miss the last crucial minutes of the A&M game, but screwing with my TV because of this caused me to miss the Baylor's entire scoring drive.

Sic 'em Bears!

This is the third time in three weeks DirecTV has cause me major inconvenience in my football viewing of my favorite teams. I think you owe me a few bucks for my trouble. Get your stuff fixed, guys!

Earlier today, we received reports that some emergency rooms across Texas were treating several battered women, after the last two minutes of the Texas A&M football game were blacked out.  The women were wrongly blamed by their A&M-fan husbands and boyfriends for changing the channel, but it was actually a technical problem at the service provider.   We are really, really sorry for the inconvenience.

Southern Texas too.  I guess that monitoring center they show off is closed on weekends.  If not it may as well be.  Why on earth would a Georgia / North Carolina game cause a blackout in Texas and Arkansas?

Happened here in Southern Texas.  A quick search of the web shows that some Razorback fans in Arkansas with Dish Network had the same problem.  I was watching delayed via DVR (had a daughter's volleyball game at 11 as well), so didn't have the option of switching to another channel to watch the end.  Of course, given that I'm an Aggie, maybe they did me a favor (NOT!)

I hate blackouts.  I'm mainly posting here in hopes that someone at Direct sees the activity and fixes it for future games.

I have Dish Network and I also lost the last two minutes of the game. Called my brother in Kentucky and he tells me that it may be because ABC owns ESPN and they have the right to blackout any game that they may consider a "threat" to their broadcast (whatever game they were starting at 2:30) Still stinks. Call your local ABC affiliate and complain. I live in Shreveport LA. And the game after that was never aired on Dish Network either. Just a blue screen stating the "game is not available for viewing in your area".
