H20-700 and WD My Book eSata...
So I just picked up a WD My Book eSata 1TB external hd to relieve myself of the "not a software issue" that's causing my DVR content to skip and pause. Now, I can write complicated software and build networks from scratch but I can't get this eSata drive to work with my H20-700.
Why?
Steps:
1: unplugged DVR
2: hooked eSata cable to both HD and DVR
3: turned on HD and waited for it to completed cycle on
4: plugged in DVR
5: powered on DVR
Results:
1: screen states "starting up"
2: screen states "only a few more minutes"
3: reboots
4: screen states "starting up"
5: screen states "only a few more minutes"
6: reboots
7: this happens over and over and over and over.... then it starts up but it completely ignore the HD
