Has anyone else have their HD DVR crash within a month

Has anyone else have their HD DVR crash within a month.  Mine just all the sudden wouldn't turn on.  And since it wouldn't turn on I can't access anything on the hard drive.  I called customer service and nothing worked.  So now I have to wait until a new one is shipped to me so I am minus a receiver now not to mention lost everything I recorded and didn't have a chance to watch before it crashed.  Is this a common thing, am I for a long haul of getting replacement dvrs.
